Tata Punch outpunches rivals to be SUV No. 1 in FY2025

Small Things make Indians more proud and excited when compared to the SUV market. In FY2025, this is a very popular segment in Indian SUVs. As Indian SUVs are so popular, they can reach millions of sales in each financial year.

In FY2025, TATA sold almost two million units of its own TATA Punch EV. That sets a new record and history for the TATA group in India. As electric vehicles emerge in the Indian market, the demand for this EV gradually increases day by day.

The total sales done by the TATA group in FY2025 were almost 196,572 units. which increased by 15 per cent compared to the last financial year, FY2024. As the TATA Punch EV stated, its sales in October 2021, the Punch EV comes with three variants: petrol, CNG, and electric. Since its launch over three and a half years ago, total sales of the Punch in the domestic market have crossed 5,50,000 units. In comparison to the Total sales at TATA Motors, it achieved more than 5,50,000 units in FY2025. It’s alone, accounting for 35 per cent of the total TATA Punch EV

The PUNCH is our first SUV offering from the ALFA Architecture and despite being designed in a compact footprint it meets all the key capabilities of a true SUV- tall stance, high ground clearance and commanding driving position that customers would expect from a SUV to navigate all the unexpected challenges that Indian roads have to offer.”
