Mitsubishi Motors awarded Aisin its new hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) business. The Japanese component manufacturer’s integrated hybrid units, which consist of a drive motor and gearbox, will be sold directly by Aisin to Mitsubishi Motors.
The hybrid Technology adopted is AISIN’s first series-parallel model, which was jointly developed with Mitsubishi Motors(MM). Motor and engine driving can be optimally switched between depending on the driving situation.
