BYD has launched its next-generation energy storage system, the MC Cube, as it seeks to capitalize on opportunities in a rapidly growing new market. Today, the new energy vehicle giant BYD announced the launch of the energy storage system, an upgraded version of the MC Cube. It launched a year ago, and deliveries are starting immediately. The BYD MC Cube has a capacity of 6.43 megawatt-hours. The upgraded capacity will reshape the value of energy storage. The product utilises BYD’s new generation of high-capacity Long Blade batteries, which offer up to 11% more efficiency. It’s higher individual cell energy and up to 35.8% higher system energy.
According to the company, the BYD MC Cube t features a compact design with a maximum 24.7% reduction in footprint.
