As of 25 April 2025, Kia India’s production unit in India is its Hi-tech plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. This plant achieves a significant milestone as it increases its share by 81% and produces the 1.5 millionth car.
As Seltos, Kia’s mid-range SUVS gained more than 46.70 % of shares, followed by Sonet compact and Carens MPV, which held 34.6% and 16.10 %, respectively. Kia India ranked 6th in country car production and has a total of 16 car variants, including 255,207 units in FY2025 alone. Kia rolled out its 1.5 millionth car from its India plant, Anantapur. The milestone car to commemorate this achievement was a Carens MPV.
In August 2019, Kia started its production unit in India to achieve significant achievements in its 6-year journey. FY2020 Kia India began its production with 300,000 units per year, and ended with 350,000 units. Its highest full-year output to date was in FY2023, when it produced 359,323 units.

On the export front, Kia India shipped a total of 263,448 units overseas until March 2025. Export demand was at its highest in FY2023, but since then, exports have fallen to 52,105 units in FY2024 (down 39%) and to the lowest yet—12,822 units in FY2025 (down up to 75%).
