Today, I received the first update from MG Motors regarding the Upcoming new Windsor EV. MG is planning to launch the vehicle, probably next month.
Currently, Windsor is sold in India as a 38 kWh variant, but soon, it may increase the battery capacity and sell more than 51 kWh. Increasing Battery Life may give more range.
MG may import a new battery unit from Wuling Cloud EV in Indonesia. The Company expects to make this battery version according to Indian specifications and variants. According to the ARAI rating, a 38 kWh battery gives a 332 km range.
The company also highlighted new ADAS technology, and it may come with ADAS L2 and L2+.
The Windsor EV also comes with a sleek, premium-feeling key. You don’t want to open the car door manually, as the driver or passenger approaches it with the Key. It will automatically open the Car door; similarly, as you go away, it will lock itself.As you enter the car, you just need to press the brake, and the car will start automatically.
The ex-showroom price is currently expected to be between Rs 14 and 16 Lakhs.
